This 6 x 38-foot stained glass mural contains 28,000 individual pieces of glass and hangs on the north wall in the ISU Alumni Center's west entrance. This piece is the official Art in State Buildings Project selection for the facility. (The image above shows only a portion of the mural.)
Artist: Lyle London
This unique piece scrapes the Iowa State Center skyline as a representation of Iowa State's unique mascot: the Cyclone. It spins, plays music, and features special lightning and thunder effects. It was a gift from lead ISU Alumni Center donors Roy ('57 ag journalism) and Bobbi ('06 honorary alumna) Reiman of Greendale, Wis.

This collection of six photos, which will soon grow to include more, showcases the legendary on-campus sculptures of ISU artist in residence Christian Petersen. The photos, which hang on second floor of the ISU Alumni Center near the Farrington Reception Area, were taken by VISIONS magazine photographer Jim Heemstra and were donated by Don Jordahl ('58 ag ed) of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Cave Creek, Ariz.
This bronze work is the first sculpture of Iowa State's loveable mascot anywhere on the ISU campus and is sure to become a fan favorite. It is located on the east side of the ISU Alumni Center on the Iowa State Center parking lot level. It was a gift from the Michael ('59 chem engr) and Jean Steffenson family of Davenport, Iowa. Michael Steffenson served as Cy when he was an ISU student in the 1950s.
